4myschools are pleased to welcome Penny Darby who is joining our successful Suffolk schools supply teacher recruitment service.

Penny started her recruitment career in 2011 and quickly worked her way up in to a senior level. Her rapid rise was in part due to her innate capabilities in addition to having successful parents both with rewarding teaching careers, one progressing to Deputy Head, and the other to Head of Department, along with her dedication, enthusiasm and work ethic.

Before turning to recruitment Penny spent 17 years working within payroll HR and accounts, and subsequently as an Office Cover Manager for a training centre that delivered alternative provision for secondary school pupils on the verge of expulsion.

Whilst in this role Penny was in regular contact with supply agencies and it quickly became apparent that there were many challenges when finding an agency who could be trusted, who understood the business and the detailed requirements.

Working as a cover manager has enabled Penny to really help schools in the same position that she had been in, having experienced the challenges first-hand, and naturally having total empathy for cover managers.

Penny knows the importance of relying on a trusted recruitment partner – one of the reasons why Penny is so committed to finding the right supply teachers for schools.

With the continued success of 4myschools and the growth of the business, an opportunity arose in 2016 to join the team – an opportunity not to be missed!

“Through working with Capita Education in Chelmsford, I knew of 4myschools, I came across them every day and was told by schools and supply teachers that they had a really good reputation, not only from the fantastic service they provide but also because they ‘give back’ to support teaching and learning.”

I joined the 4myschools’ team in 2016 and am now able to offer what cover managers are looking for to make their lives easier, a consultative service, building honest relationships whilst taking the time to understand each clients’ individual needs and requirements. This service is delivered with the backing of a brand that helps schools, by giving back to support teaching and learning, helping develop and improve future prospects for children.”

Good luck Penny we are delighted to have you on board.
