Teachernet
Teachernet is the site developed by the Department for Children Families and Schools and is specially designed for teachers covering education and skills, please follow the link below:
“The National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) has launched a website which is designed as a virtual centre with a web portal to support activities and resources at both regional and local levels. The national network of Science Learning Centres has been created by the Department and Wellcome Trust to provide innovative and inspiring professional development. They support teachers and technicians in delivering intellectually stimulating and relevant science education, helping students to gain the knowledge and understanding they need - both as citizens and as scientists of the future.”

General Teaching Council
The General Teaching Council supports continuing professional development and has developed a few publications that may be downloaded from their web site. GTC naturally work with the Training and Development Agency (TDA) and this helps with consistency of message in teaching. Teaching Expertise
As an alternative we have put in a link to teaching expertise site - a website developed on behalf of Optimus Education. The site offers a number of free education resources , articles and e-bulletins , advice and guidance, knowledge sharing and ideas. It also provides online access to a full catalogue of books, newsletters and magazines for purchase.
