Vacancy: Cover Supervisor Swaffham Norfolk – required ASAP, Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £12-15000 p.a. DOE

Start Date: 9th April 2018, or as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a professional, committed and creative Cover Supervisor to ensure that students in our Learning Centre are fully supported in engaging with their learning.

The successful candidate will have excellent inter-personal skills, and be able to liaise with staff, students and parents. The candidate should be able to support effective integration of all students, into whole school learning, as well as providing other aspects of behaviour support.

We aim to recruit individuals who display the character and competence to drive our school towards success. This will include supporting the school’s drive towards achieving ‘outstanding’ status.  They will share in the school’s vision and fully support our ethos.

You will:

  •  Have modelling skills and expertise as a learning coach to support students and self-study
  • Supervise students, while they are engaged in learning activities in the Learning Centre
  • Manage pupils’ behaviour within the ethos and behavioural policies of the school
  • Be able to support students in reaching their full potential, including employing a range of pedagogical approaches
  • Deliver cover work set by teachers, differentiating and allocating extension exercises where required
  • Be interested in Self-Directed Learning and be open to different learning approaches
  • Be committed to student leadership and encourage teamwork and collaboration
  • Enjoy being part of a supportive and progressive team
  • Be willing to engage in continued professional development
