Kesgrave High School is a very popular and successful school. The school already have a diverse, highly professional and lively staff force. The staff benefit from an innovative approach to timetabling and excellent conditions of service for those who work there.

The school are seeking to appoint a Teacher of English to join their dynamic English department. The department teaches a wide range of courses post-16, including Media and Film. The ideal candidate should have lots of enthusiasm and be able to teach students of all abilities.

The English department achieved exceptional GCSE results last year in both Literature and Language at 87% A* – C. A level results are some of the highest in the country and consistently in the top 25%.

Following Ofsted’s visit to Kesgrave High School on 6th December 2017, the school were delighted to receive the report which continues to grade them as a ‘Good’ school.

When the Ofsted inspectors fed back to the school at the end of their visit they made a particular point of commenting to them on the exceptional behaviour of their young people, the passion of staff and the strength of the community of Kesgrave High School. Ofsted have noted that students are ‘proud of their school and they are grateful for the opportunities that are available to them throughout the curriculum and as a result of the wide range of extra-curricular activities that you offer.’ One student summed this up with the comment ‘It’s not just Kesgrave, it’s the community of Kesgrave.
