Vacancy: Lecturer Foundation Learning Ipswich – January 2018

Salary up to £35,811 per annum

35 hours per week (up to 23 teaching hours and 12 preparation and other duties hours).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join the Foundation Learning team at Suffolk New College. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across a range of subjects. This is alongside a thorough understanding and experience of working with students with learning difficulties, disabilities and a diverse range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate should have a good standard of education including Maths and English at level 2 or equivalent, a relevant degree or professional qualification, and a teaching qualification. Alternatively the candidate will have a commitment to obtaining one within a specified time after commencement of employment.

The position requires the post-holder to teach across all levels of the foundation learning programmes, from entry level 2 to level 2. The post-holder will be pro-actively involved in the day to day running, organisation and development of the foundation learning programmes, as required by the Programme Leader or Head of School.
