Art & Design Specialist. Louise has taught for over 19 years in a large secondary school academy. Though initially employed as a teacher of Art & Design she has spent much of her time delivering DT Graphic Products to both KS3/4. Louise has often been involved in teaching year 6 students on introductory taster days demonstrating her adaptability within the classroom. She uses her passion for her subject effectively to create innovative lessons that stimulate student’s curiosity. She tries to meet the needs of individual students through effective differentiated lesson planning and understands the importance of creating a caring and consistent environment for her students. Louise's work as a form tutor demonstrates her ability to liaise with students, teachers and parents to help each child reach their full potential not only academically, but to become responsible and valued members of society. For many years, Louise worked voluntarily with students in preparation for county design competitions where her students had much success. Louise has been responsible for the moderation and assessment of other teachers GCSE classes clearly reflecting her ability to work as part of a team.
