Job Overview⭐
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a team of a Primary School and play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of their students. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students with special educational needs, providing them with the necessary assistance to overcome barriers to learning and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities📋
– Work with individual students or small groups, both inside and outside the classroom, to reinforce learning concepts.
– Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with specific learning needs.
– Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
– Provide emotional support and encouragement to students, fostering their self-confidence and independence.
– Monitor and record student progress, sharing feedback with teachers and parents/guardians.
– Support students during activities and outings, ensuring their safety and participation.
– Utilize appropriate strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive behaviour development.
– Be proactive in identifying and addressing potential learning difficulties or additional support requirements.
Requirements✔️
– Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational or care setting.
– A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
– Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varying demands of the role.
– A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
– A relevant qualification in teaching assistance, childcare, or special educational needs would be advantageous but not mandatory.
