Job Description:
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach across various subjects and year groups, providing cover for absent staff. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to manage your own schedule while gaining experience in different educational settings. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining classroom discipline, and ensuring students continue to receive high-quality education in the absence of their regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
– Delivering pre-prepared lessons across different subjects and year groups
– Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
– Adapting to different school settings and following school policies and procedures
– Marking and assessing students’ work when required
– Providing constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
– Collaborating with school staff and other supply teachers to ensure continuity in students’ education
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Experience teaching at the secondary level
– Strong classroom management skills
– Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and teaching challenges
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– A passion for teaching and commitment to student success
