English Teacher required for a fixed-term basis at a school in Ware, Hertfordshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term basis at a vibrant secondary school in Ware. This role is available for a November start and will run until at least Christmas. You will be responsible for delivering English lessons across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities for a Fixed Term English Teacher:

– Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the national curriculum.

– Plan and prepare high-quality lessons to meet the needs of all fixed term secondary English learners.

– Mark and assess pupils’ work, providing constructive feedback.

– Manage classroom behaviour in a positive and effective way.

– Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

– Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student progress.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

– Experience teaching fixed term secondary English at KS3 and KS4 levels.

– A passion for inspiring students and making learning enjoyable and meaningful.

– Strong organisational and communication skills.

– A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
