4myschools are looking for a Business Studies Teacher to work at a school in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.
We are seeking a committed and innovative Business Studies Teacher to join our forward-thinking secondary school in Bishop’s Stortford from September 2025. This is a full-time position, offered on a fixed-term basis for at least one academic year, ideal for a qualified teacher with a passion for business and enterprise.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Business Studies at Key Stages 4 and 5, with the opportunity to help shape an ambitious and engaging curriculum.
Key Responsibilities for a Business Studies Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Business Studies across KS4 and KS5
- Plan and implement lessons that inspire curiosity, ambition, and achievement
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in line with school policy
- Create a classroom environment conducive to effective learning and high achievement
- Support enrichment opportunities related to business and enterprise
- Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and wider school life
- Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and professional conduct
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
- Experience teaching Business Studies at GCSE and A-Level
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A commitment to high standards, inclusivity, and student success
- Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and exam board requirements
- An enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
