Class Teacher Job Norwich Norfolk
4myschools are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Class Teacher to start a job to working with an infant school in Norwich, Norfolk on a full time permanent basis starting April 2025 or sooner. Responsibilities for the Class Teacher Job Norwich:
Enact agreed planning, assessment and target setting. Implement national Curriculum subjects, working with others to provide enrichment for pupils.
Foster an inclusive and personalised curriculum meeting the needs of all children.
Complete assessment, monitoring and record keeping, showcasing pupils progress, providing updates inline with the Feedback & Marking Policy.
Provide information for parents, including annual reports and completion of the relevant sections of pupils’ planners.
Oversee and work closely with TAs, setting out tasks and supervising support staff, students and voluntary helpers.
Liaise with the Raising Standards Lead regarding the achievement of pupils towards end of Key Stage national assessments, the SENDCo for the learning needs of specific pupils and the pastoral team, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Family Support Worker and Emotional Literacy Support Assistant, regarding pupils’ welfare needs.
Engage in identifying and implementing the priorities of the School Improvement Plan.
Fully comply with the school’s Safeguarding Policy, remaining alert to pupils’ wellbeing and reporting any concerns inline with Child Protection Procedures. Proactively upholding the school’s Behaviour Policy, establishing class rules and clear sanctions, with high standards of behaviour expected at all times.
Work as part of the school’s teaching department, behaving as a team member supportive to colleagues.
Ensure that classrooms and other designated spaces provide a positive, well organised learning environment in line with the Display Policy.
Make effective use of PPA time to raise standards, including the completion of assessments under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team.
Lead assemblies and supervise break duties as required; playing an active role in the full life of the school.
Take active responsibility for personal continuous professional development; with an ownership of individual performance management.
Maintain consistent high standards of professional conduct, in dealings with pupils, parents, colleagues, external agencies and any other visitors to the school.
Requirements for the Class Teacher Job Norwich:
Degree or higher.
Relevant Teaching Qualification.
English and Mathematics at GCSE / ‘O’ Level or equivalent and/or sound Literacy and Numeracy skills (ITT accreditation test level).
ICT QTS accreditation test level or European Computer Driving Licence.
High levels of primary subject knowledge and knowledge of statutory requirements relating to the national curriculum.
Evidence of positive impact on pupil outcomes with a willingness to secure high attainment for all children maintaining a consistent and continuous focus on pupil achievement;
Ability to read and understand instructions and complete basic paperwork.
Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
Positive disposition to implementing the Schools’ vision, with leadership experience ensuring this is understood and acted upon by their team. Understanding of the management of change processes.
Ability to delegate appropriately and hold other accountable while at the same time accepting accountability for the designated pupil outcomes.
Able to develop genuine, empathetic relationships with young people.
High personal standards in terms of attendance, punctuality, meeting deadlines and organisational skills.
Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
Solution focused disposition and a positive attitude particularly to challenge and change.
Understanding of Equal Opportunity issues and principles and applying an even standard of care to all pupils.
Positive disposition towards inclusion of all pupils including those with learning difficulties in mainstream learning and education.
Able to work as part of a broader inclusion and pupil support system, a team player supportive of team work.
Willingness to develop own understanding and capability through advice and training.
Work without constant supervision, to provide assistance as and when required, to seek tasks when
unoccupied and think clearly and calmly in an emergency
Understanding of the principles of accountability and quality assurance to achieve best possible pupil outcomes.
