4myschools are looking for a Class Teacher to work at a school in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stevenage is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, fixed-term role for at least one academic year, with the potential for extension or a permanent position.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a class in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on experience and preference. You will join a supportive and experienced staff team dedicated to creating a positive learning environment where all children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities for a Class Teacher:
- Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Track pupil progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to deliver a consistent learning experience.
- Maintain positive behaviour management strategies to support pupil wellbeing and achievement.
- Contribute to school life, including staff meetings, parent communication, and enrichment activities..
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational abilities.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and school improvement.
- A nurturing approach and passion for helping children succeed academically and socially.
