4myschools are looking for a Class Teacher (with potential for KS1 Lead Responsibility) to work at a primary school in Thetford.

Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (1 year)

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed Class Teacher to join our friendly and inclusive primary school in Thetford. This full-time role is fixed-term for one academic year, with the potential for additional responsibility as KS1 Phase Leader, depending on experience and interest.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that enables all children to flourish
- Assess and monitor pupil progress effectively, using data to inform teaching
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular and enrichment activities
- Uphold and model the school’s values and behaviour expectation
(If appointed as KS1 Lead):
- Lead and manage the KS1 team, supporting teaching and learning across the phase
- Monitor and evaluate the KS1 curriculum and standards
- Mentor and support colleagues to ensure consistency and high expectations
- Contribute to school improvement planning and whole-school development initiatives
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience of teaching in KS1 – essential
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to inclusive practice and raising achievement for all pupils
- A reflective and proactive approach to professional development
For KS1 Lead consideration:
- Previous leadership experience or evidence of leadership potential
- Ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team
- Understanding of curriculum development and data-driven improvement
