Daily Secondary Supply Teachers – Colchester
Flexible September 2025 start | Choose 1–5 days a week
The Role
Position: Daily supply teacher – KS3 & KS4 (KS5 if you’re happy to cover)
Start date: September 2025 (induction and vetting in June/July)
Schedule: You choose between 1 and 5 days per week; book in advance or accept morning calls via our app
Schools: A mix of academies, faith schools and community schools in and around Colchester
Pay: £130 – £140 per day (paid weekly via PAYE)
Subjects: General cover across the curriculum; we prioritise your subject specialism where possible

What we need
- UK QTS or equivalent recognised overseas teaching qualification
- Recent classroom experience in a secondary setting
- Strong behaviour-management skills and adaptable teaching style
- Up-to-date knowledge of the KS3/KS4 curriculum
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service—or happy to apply through us
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons (and occasionally set work for cover classes)
- Maintain a positive learning environment and follow each school’s behaviour policy
- Provide concise handovers to heads of department or class teachers
- Safeguard all pupils in line with the latest KCSIE guidance
