Key Responsibilities for a Daily Supply Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with a range of SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, adapting materials, and managing classroom activities.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development, promoting positive behaviour and well-being.
- Help with the implementation of tailored learning strategies and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Support students with personal care needs if required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
- A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to working with young learners
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt to various school environments and age groups
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one)
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey
