4myschools are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher to work at a Secondary School in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Great Yarmouth on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage students in a creative and hands-on subject that plays a vital role in modern education. This role is due to start September 2025.
Salary: £31,650- £49,084
Key Responsibilities for a Design and Technology Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teach a range of specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles or Engineering, depending on expertise
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop and learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
- Contribute to curriculum development within the department and the wider school community
- Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and enrichment activities
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- A relevant degree in Design and Technology or related subject
- Experience teaching DT at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A creative and practical approach to teaching and learning
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Willingness to take part in continuous professional development and the wider life of the school
