As a supply teacher, you will play an important role in ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards in the classroom. The Role You will deliver pre-planned English lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and support students in developing their literacy, reading, and writing skills. The role requires confidence in adapting to different school environments and building positive relationships with pupils quickly. Whether covering planned absence or providing short-term support, you will ensure students remain engaged and focused throughout their lessons. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4. Follow school policies and procedures. Maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Encourage student participation and progress. Manage classroom behaviour effectively. Provide clear feedback to teaching staff following lessons.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be committed  and comfortable working with pupils in a Secondary School setting.

This role would suit someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about English and committed to helping students succeed. You will be adaptable, organised, and confident teaching across a range of abilities. Strong communication skills, excellent classroom management, and the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and colleagues are essential.
