4myschools are looking for a EYFS & KS1 Teaching Assistant to work at a school in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.
4myschools are currently seeking a passionate and motivated EYFS & KS1 Teaching Assistant to support our EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 classes. The successful candidate will assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, supporting children’s individual needs, and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the educational journey of our youngest learners. This is an immediate start for a full time role on a ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities for a EYFS & KS1 Teaching Assistant
- Provide support to pupils in EYFS and KS1, assisting with their learning and development.
- Help prepare and set up learning materials and classroom resources.
- Support the teacher with planning, monitoring progress, and managing classroom activities.
- Assist with personal care and welfare of pupils where necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support children with additional learning needs and promote their independence.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting (EYFS & KS1 experience is desirable but not essential).
- A positive and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for helping young children succeed.
- Good communication skills, both with children and staff.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Patience, creativity, and a calm, empathetic approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
