Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be committed and capable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.
The successful applicant will be someone who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
The ideal candidate for this Primary Long‑Term Supply Teacher role is someone who brings a blend of professionalism, adaptability, and genuine passion for primary education. They will hold QTS and have solid, hands‑on experience teaching within UK primary schools, with the confidence to step into a class and quickly establish routines, rapport, and a positive learning atmosphere. They’re proactive rather than reactive, able to plan engaging lessons, manage behaviour calmly and consistently, and maintain continuity for pupils over an extended period. They’ll be reliable, flexible, and comfortable becoming part of a school community, contributing to team discussions, communicating effectively with staff and parents, and supporting the wider life of the school. Most importantly, they’re someone who sees long‑term supply not just as cover work but as an opportunity to showcase their strengths, grow professionally, and position themselves for future permanent or leadership opportunities within the school
