4myschools are looking for a Geography Teacher to work at a school in Welwyn, Hertfordshire.
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Geography Teacher to join our school in Welwyn Garden City for for at least one year, working full time. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on students’ education in a supportive and vibrant environment. Strong Classroom management is essential. This role is a September 2025 start for at least 1 year.
Key Responsibilities for a Geography Teacher
- Deliver engaging Geography lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Develop and implement creative and effective lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress regularly.
- Work collaboratively with the department to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Proven experience in classroom management with the ability to maintain a calm and structured environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
- Previous experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues across departments.
