A successful secondary academy in Basildon is seeking an enthusiastic and highly effective Teacher of Humanities to join a supportive and collaborative team. This full-time, permanent role is available as soon as possible and will primarily focus on History and Geography teaching at Key Stage 3, with potential involvement across Key Stages 4 and 5. The academy operates across two sites, providing a well-resourced and inclusive environment where staff are encouraged to collaborate, share good practice, and contribute to curriculum development. Teachers are supported through tailored professional development programmes, opportunities to engage in innovative CPD initiatives, and membership in learning communities that promote reflection and improvement. The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will be a passionate and skilled Humanities teacher with the ability to engage, motivate, and challenge students to achieve their best. You will have excellent subject knowledge in both History and Geography, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching.
