4myschools are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work at a Primary School in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.
Are you a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced teaching assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a primary school in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, where you will play a vital role in nurturing and supporting students to achieve their full potential. This role is due to start ASAP until the end of the academic year (July)
Key Responsibilities for a KS1 Teaching Assistant:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils as required
- Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources
- Help maintain a positive and nurturing learning environment
- Support children’s academic, emotional, and social development
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils, following school safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
- Experience working in a primary school setting, particularly in KS1 (desirable)
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) is an advantage
- A patient, flexible and proactive approach to supporting children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for working with young learners
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
