Are you an experienced educator ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? Our partner school in Thurrock is seeking a passionate and driven Lead Teacher to join their dynamic team from September 2025. This is a permanent position offering Main Pay Scale (MPS) plus a TLR for the right candidate.
About the Role:
As Lead Teacher, you’ll play a key role in driving teaching and learning excellence across the school. You’ll work closely with the Trust leadership team to develop strategic plans, mentor Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and ensure the highest standards of classroom practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise teaching and learning standards across your phase or subject area
- Mentor and support Early Career Teachers to build their confidence and capability
- Collaborate with Trust leaders to implement and plan high-impact educational strategies
- Be a visible presence within the school, modelling outstanding practice and inspiring others
- Support curriculum development and innovation in line with school priorities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial classroom experience
- A track record of raising achievement in a primary or secondary setting
- Proven ability to mentor and support colleagues effectively
- Strong understanding of curriculum design and planning
- Leadership experience or ambition to progress into senior leadership
