The Role:

4myschools are working with a school in Clacton, Essex who are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support 2 children in KS2. This support role will be working 1:1 with a pupil in the morning who has ASD and then, in the afternoon, assisting a child with ADHD who has recently transitioned from another primary school and is still settling in. The ideal Learning Support Assistant will be dynamic, enthusiastic, caring and patient and have previous SEND experience. You will be required to support learning and social wellbeing and typically work from 08:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday, term time, earning between £70-£90 per day, depending on experience.

This is a two-form entry Junior school with friendly and supportive staff who work together to ensure all their pupils have the best opportunities and were recently inspected by Ofsted and maintained their Good grade.

The school are looking to appoint a fun and energetic Learning Support Assistant who will be required to support learning using initiative and creativity. This role would suit someone with a sporty or theatrical background.

As the ideal Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Be available full time,
• Have SEND experience,
• Be friendly, approachable, and able to work well as part of a team,

In this role, you will be expected to:

• To work closely with the class teacher and other members of the SEND team,
• Track child(ren) progress,
• Tailor sessions to suit the needs of each child,
• Encourage child(ren) participation,
• Supervise students while they complete tasks,
• Ensure all Childrens’ personal, social, emotional, and mental health needs are met throughout the day.
