Our client, a welcoming and supportive primary school in Harlow, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team ASAP on a long-term, full-time basis.
🧩 The Role:
Position: Learning Support Assistant (1:1)
Location: Harlow, Essex
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Long-term, with potential to go permanent
Hours: Full-time, term-time only
Student: 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism (ASC)
Setting: Mainstream primary school with excellent SEN support
💼 The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs
- Calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Able to adapt to the individual needs of the child and follow tailored EHCP strategies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with teaching staff and parents
- Team player with a genuine passion for inclusive education
✅ Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable)
