Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: South Ockendon
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: Competitive (Based on Experience)
We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and dedicated LSA to join a fantastic school in South Ockendon. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with relevant experience to become part of a collaborative team, supporting children with Autism and ADHD in a classroom setting. This role is not 1:1 but part of a wider team, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of students and support their overall learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support for students with Autism and ADHD across the classroom
Assist in developing and implementing learning strategies and behaviour management techniques
Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other LSAs to ensure the success of all students
Help to create an inclusive, positive, and stimulating learning environment
Support students in their social and emotional development, promoting independence
Assist in managing classroom behaviour and helping students engage in learning activities
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, or other Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team and collaborate with colleagues
Patient, empathetic, and able to build rapport with students
A proactive approach to supporting children’s development
Ideally, you will have experience in a school setting or similar educational environment
