LSA Jobs St Osyth. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of our primary schools in St Osyth, Essex. This full-time role involves providing one-to-one support for a non-verbal child in Year 1 (KS1), helping them engage with learning through visual communication aids such as PECS and visual timetables.

As the child may find the classroom environment overwhelming at times, you will also provide individual intervention sessions in a quieter setting, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning.

Responsibilities of the LSA Jobs St Osyth:

Provide one-to-one support to a non-verbal child in Year 1
Use visual communication aids (PECS, visual timetables) to support learning and interaction
Assist with structured interventions in a quieter setting when needed
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment that promotes the child’s development

Requirements for the LSA Jobs St Osyth:

GCSE’s or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education or related field advantageous.
Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational role is preferred.

Experience supporting non verbal communication is desirable but not essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
Enhanced DBS check.
