Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented MFL teacher to join a dedicated Modern Foreign Languages department for a fixed-term position starting from September. The position entails teaching French and Spanish across various year groups, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons, creating a positive classroom atmosphere, and monitoring student progress to ensure academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality and engaging lessons in French and Spanish, tailored to meet the needs of students at different levels of proficiency.
Inspiring and motivating students to develop a love for languages and a strong desire to succeed.
Implementing effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
Preparing and assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and monitoring progress regularly.
Collaborating with colleagues within the department to develop innovative teaching resources and schemes of work.
Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with relevant subject specialism.
Proven experience teaching French and Spanish within a school setting.
Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Dedication to supporting and nurturing the development of every student.
