As an MFL Teacher, you will deliver high-quality language lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, using a variety of creative strategies to build vocabulary, fluency, and confidence. You’ll inspire learners to embrace new ways of thinking and communicate with the wider world, making languages feel relevant and exciting.

Job Responsibilities for MFL Teacher Jobs Ipswich:

• Plan and deliver engaging French and/or Spanish lessons at KS3 and KS4
• Bring language learning to life through role-play, games, media, and cultural projects
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with SEND
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom where students feel confident to speak and take risks
• Monitor and assess student progress, giving constructive feedback and support
• Contribute to curriculum development and collaborative departmental planning
• Promote a love of languages through clubs, themed days, or cross-curricular events
• Uphold school policies and contribute to the wider school community

Requirements for MFL Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in French, Spanish, or MFL
• Experience teaching French or Spanish (or both) at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the MFL curriculum
• Creative teaching style with a focus on making language learning fun and accessible
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusive practices
• Willingness to support extracurricular language activities (desirable)
