Are you passionate about inspiring creativity and nurturing artistic talent in young people? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school community in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and motivated Art Teacher to deliver engaging and innovative lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will join a supportive and collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a well-resourced department.
Responsibilities as a Part Time Art Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 Art curriculum
- Develop students’ skills in a range of artistic techniques and media
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning
- Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and departmental initiatives
- Organise and display student work to celebrate achievement and creativity
- Participate in parent meetings, staff training, and departmental planning
- Uphold the school’s behaviour policy and safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching Art at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
- Ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to contribute to wider school life and enrichment activities
- An enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
