Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Mornings Only | September Start | Long-Term Fixed Contract
Location: Chelmsford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 12:00pm
Contract: Fixed Term until 31st August 2027
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
Are you a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-regarded primary school seeking a morning-only LSA to join their team from September 2025.
This long-term role is ideal for candidates looking for consistent, part-time work within a supportive school environment.
The Role:
- Working 1:1 with a designated pupil to provide tailored support in line with their learning plan.
- Supporting small group interventions to aid in literacy, numeracy, or social development.
- Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective strategies.
- Encouraging independence and confidence in learning through positive reinforcement.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally in a support capacity.
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
- Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA) are desirable but not essential.
