Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Basildon. This part-time role is perfect for an individual who is committed to inspiring students and fostering a love for science. The position requires working two-three days per week, providing an excellent opportunity for work-life balance or supplementary professional engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

– Delivering engaging and effective science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
– Preparing and delivering high-quality lesson plans and resources.
– Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback.
– Collaborating with colleagues to support the school’s curriculum and ethos.
– Participating in departmental meetings and professional development as required.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
– A degree in Science or a related subject.
– Proven experience in teaching science at the secondary school level.
– Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
