4myschools are looking for a PE Teacher to work at a school in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated PE Teacher to join our team at a thriving secondary school in Great Yarmouth to cover a maternity leave starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our students’ development in physical education and inspire a passion for fitness, sport, and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities for a PE Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across key stages 3 and 4, ensuring a diverse and engaging curriculum
- Encourage students to participate in a wide variety of physical activities and sports
- Support the development of students’ physical, social, and emotional well-being
- Promote healthy lifestyles and physical fitness across the school
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement extra-curricular sports opportunities
- Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Contribute to the school’s PE department, working within a supportive and dynamic team
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during all PE activities
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A passion for physical education and a strong commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
- Experience teaching PE at the secondary level (desirable)
- A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive and energetic attitude towards teaching and extracurricular activities
- A willingness to support and participate in school events and after-school clubs
