4myschools are looking for a Primary Class Teacher (with Computing Specialism) to work at a Primary School in Thetford, Norfolk.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Primary Class Teacher with a specialism in Computing to join our committed team at our vibrant primary school in Thetford. This is a full-time, fixed-term role from 1st September to 19th December 2025, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality primary education while also leading and enhancing computing and computer studies across the curriculum.
Salary: £31,650- £49,084 per annum
Key Responsibilities for a Primary Class Teacher (with Computing Specialism):
- Deliver engaging and creative teaching to a primary class, following the national curriculum
- Plan and lead computing lessons across the school and support the integration of digital learning in the wider curriculum
- Foster digital literacy, online safety, and ICT skills appropriate to the primary phase
- Support colleagues in the effective use of technology in the classroom
- Track pupil progress, provide timely assessment and feedback, and contribute to pupil reports
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Participate in school life, including staff meetings, parent communication, and school events
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching at primary level (KS1 and/or KS2)
- A strong subject knowledge in Computing and confidence delivering Computer Studies
- Ability to inspire and engage pupils of all abilities
- Excellent organisational and classroom management skills
- A collaborative, flexible, and professional approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
