Job Responsibilities for Primary ECT Jobs Ipswich:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across a range of subjects and year groups from EYFS to KS2, in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports positive behaviour, curiosity, and confidence in all learners.
- Differentiate teaching to meet the varied needs of pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, and those working at greater depth.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote active learning and ensure all children make progress.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress through observation, informal and formal assessments, and regular feedback.
- Participate in year group or whole-school planning, including phonics, literacy, numeracy, and topic work.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues, promoting clear communication and a team approach to learning.
- Contribute to school life beyond the classroom, including supporting assemblies, class trips, or extra-curricular activities.
- Engage fully with the Early Career Framework, seeking feedback, participating in mentoring, and actively pursuing professional development.
- Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures, prioritising the safety and well-being of every child.
Requirements for Primary Early Career Teachers:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree, ideally suited to primary education.
- Experience gained during Initial Teacher Training (ITT) placements across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
- A secure understanding of the primary national curriculum and age-appropriate pedagogical approaches.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their academic and personal development.
- Confidence in using educational technology, phonics schemes, and other primary teaching resources effectively.
- Willingness to get involved in school life beyond the classroom, including events, assemblies, and enrichment activities.
- Eagerness to participate fully in your ECT induction, mentoring, and professional learning opportunities.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection, or willingness to undertake training.
