4myschools are looking for a Reception Teacher to work at a primary school in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in Borehamwood. This is a full-time, maternity cover position for one year, starting in September 2025, with the possibility of an earlier start if available. As a Reception Teacher, you will play a key role in nurturing and developing young learners as they embark on their early education journey.
Responsibilities as a Reception Teacher :
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate lessons that support the development of all Reception-aged children.
- Create a positive, stimulating, and safe classroom environment where children can thrive and develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to both children and parents.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and effective Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Support children’s individual needs and create a learning environment that is inclusive and nurturing.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress.
Requirements:
- Has a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) and experience in teaching within the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and the developmental needs of Reception-aged children.
- Is passionate about early childhood education and making a positive impact on young learners.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Is creative, enthusiastic, and adaptable, with a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences.
- An enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one.
