4myschools are looking for a Reception Teacher to work at a Primary School in North Walsham, Norfolk.
We are looking for a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our welcoming primary school in North Walsham from 1st September 2025. This is a full-time, fixed-term position covering the full academic year until July 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to help shape the early learning experiences of our youngest pupils during a crucial stage in their development.
Key Responsibilities for a Reception Teacher:
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework
- Provide a warm, inclusive and stimulating environment that supports early development
- Observe and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records and informing parents/carers
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Work closely with the EYFS team and support staff to ensure continuity and high-quality provision
- Support children’s social and emotional development alongside their academic growth
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and attend relevant meetings and events
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Early Years (either in training or post-qualification)
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and pastoral care skills
- Creative, caring, and reflective approach to teaching and learning
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A team player who is committed to school values and the wider school community
- An enhanced childworkforce DBS or willing to obtain one
