Classteacher (EYFS/KS1) Job Norwich

Due to an increase in pupil numbers the school is expanding its number of classes. This is an exciting time to join our school where we have created a dynamic, friendly and secure environment with a positive approach to teaching. With small classes we can inspire each child, giving them close attention and ensuring they leave the school fully equipped for their next phase of learning.

The role benefits from the support available with our partner school of Burston Primary, and from our highly successful and respected Trust.

THE ROLE

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated teacher for a mixed age class across EYFS and KS1. This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding role where you can make a real difference.

The ideal candidate will have a secure knowledge of both EYFS & KS1 curriculum with a commitment to raising pupil achievement and nurturing the pupil’s wellbeing.

The personal competencies expected of the class teacher are:

  • ·       Have excellent communication skills and evidence of being able to build and sustain effective working relationships with staff, children, parents and the wider community;
  • ·       Be a self-reflective practitioner who always seeks to improve;
  • ·       See the ‘big picture’ in relation to whole school priorities & improvement;
  • ·       Able to reason their educational philosophy, in tune with the school ethos;
  • ·       Possess a sense of humour;
  • ·       Have the ability to inspire and enthuse staff and children about their subject;
  • ·       Be highly self-motivated, able to energise and motivate others;
  • ·       Be insightful and understanding of national, international and research developments relevant to teaching and learning in their subject.
