Job Responsibilities for Science Teacher Jobs Ipswich:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Inspire students to explore scientific concepts and develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate real-world applications of Physics, particularly in engineering and technology.
- Differentiate instruction to support the learning needs of all students, including those with SEND.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for science.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental planning and meetings.
- Support and promote STEM activities and extracurricular science clubs or projects.
- Uphold school policies and contribute to the broader life of the school community.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Science or a related science subject.
- Experience teaching Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the secondary level, KS3-4
- Strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the national curriculum for science and Physics.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A passion for science and a commitment to fostering scientific curiosity and critical thinking.
- Competence in using technology and practical resources to enhance learning.
- Willingness to contribute to departmental activities, school initiatives, and extracurricular STEM opportunities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and safeguarding practices (training can be provided if not already held).
