The ideal candidate
You will supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The cover supervisor’s main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. There are also opportunities available for the right candidate with no/minimal experience working with children to shadow an experienced member of staff in a school, in a voluntary capacity to gain experience working in this environment. This is on a daily supply basis, working from one day a week, up to 5 days a week depending on your availability. The schools range from small schools through to larger than average schools..
