4myschools are looking for SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in Schools in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) with a background in care or experience working with both SEN children and adults. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
About the Role:
- You will provide support to students with a variety of learning needs, both in the classroom and during other school activities.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that each student’s individual needs are met.
- Assist with both academic and personal care needs, helping students to engage in their learning and school life.
- Duties will vary depending on the individual needs of the students and could involve supporting children with autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and other complex needs.
- You will be required to work full-time, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, term time only.
Key Responsibilities for a SEN Learning Support Assistant :
- Supporting students in their learning and development.
- Offering tailored support to meet the individual needs of students.
- Assisting with personal care tasks where necessary.
- Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or adults with special educational needs (SEN), particularly within a care setting.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach depending on the needs of the student.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Ideally, experience in supporting SEN in both educational and care settings, though training will be provided to the right candidates.
- An enhanced DBS (Child workforce only) or willing to obtain one.
