Daily Rate: £125-£199 per day paid to scale

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Secondary Maths Teacher to join our team and provide high-quality education to students with special needs in Key Stages 3-4 working with students with behavioural issues, mental health concerns and learning barriers.

This position is a full time teaching role starting in September and has the potential to go permanent.

You will be working in a Pupil Referral Unit PRU and teaching Maths to students up to KS4. Students have been referred from main stream schools due to various reasons such as having behavioural difficulties and SEMH. As a SEN Secondary Maths Teacher, you will be patient, caring and able to build strong relationships with your students. Class sizes are small and there will be multiple support staff to assist learners with a range of difficulties and learning abilities. You will have experience teaching up to GCSE level and be confident in planning engaging lessons to help inspire the students. Teachers and students are well supported and work as a team to succeed.

As the ideal SEN Secondary Maths Teacher, you will:

Have experience as an SEN Teacher or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of special educational needs and experience working with students with a variety of need
Have a Maths Teaching qualification and hold QTS
Have either UK or UK ENIC recognised Teaching Qualifications plus UK experience
Demonstrate positive behaviour management strategies and knowledge of the UK curriculum
Be flexible and reliable
Have competencies in liaising with other teachers.
