Location: Clacton, Essex

Start Date: September 2025 ongoing

SEN Primary Teacher Jobs Clacton. We are working with a primary school with an on‑site Specialist Enhanced Unit (SEU) for pupils who have a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech‑and‑language, social‑emotional and moderate learning difficulties. We are seeking an outstanding, creative SEN teacher who can deliver high‑quality, ability‑group teaching and help every child thrive and achieve their unique potential.

Job Responsibilities for SEN Primary Teacher Jobs Clacton:

• Teach a small, well‑supported class (normally 6–10 pupils) drawn from KS1 or lower KS2.
• Plan, differentiate and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum, tailored to EHCP targets.
• Use a blended approach of structured, multi‑sensory and play‑based learning.
• Lead and deploy LSAs/HLTAs, ensuring interventions are purposeful and data‑driven.
• Work closely with the SENCo, outside agencies and parents to review progress and adapt provision.
• Champion pupil voice, independence and wellbeing, embedding positive‑behaviour strategies throughout.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent primary‑age classroom experience.
• Proven success teaching pupils with SEND; experience within an enhanced provision or specialist setting is an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of adaptive teaching, AAC/assistive technology, and assessment for learning.
• Calm, nurturing classroom presence, high expectations and a growth‑mindset for every learner.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; able to build positive relationships with colleagues, families and external professionals.
