Do you have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? If you are motivated by providing holistic, person‑centred support that helps every learner feel safe, understood, and able to thrive, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We are expanding our welcoming and dedicated pool of flexible supply staff who work across specialist schools, alternative provisions, and SEND bases in and around the Ware area. One of the greatest advantages of joining our supply team is the flexibility. You decide how often you work — whether that’s one day a week or a full five days. You will have complete control over your availability via a free, user‑friendly app, allowing you to manage your diary, plan ahead, and accept bookings with ease. This flexibility makes the role ideal for individuals balancing other commitments, exploring a new career direction, or simply seeking rewarding work that fits around their lifestyle. By joining us, you will make a meaningful difference every day within supportive, specialist educational environments. You’ll gain valuable SEND experience, contribute to a young person’s journey, and enjoy the freedom of creating a work schedule that suits you. Our schools offer highly nurturing environments where your efforts are recognised and your impact is truly felt. There is no official closing date for applications to these roles. However, prompt submissions are encouraged, as opportunities can be filled at any time — so if this sounds like the right fit for you, we encourage you not to delay.

The ideal candidate

Applicants must hold a minimum of Grade 4/C or above in GCSE Maths and English, or an equivalent qualification. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals—this may be through professional roles in education, healthcare, social care, residential settings, youth services, or through personal and lived experience. You should be adaptable, confident in managing different needs and behaviours, and able to build positive, nurturing relationships. A calm manner, strong communication skills, and an understanding of safeguarding are essential to success in these environments. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who bring valuable transferable experience. This could include backgrounds in social work, social care, NHS and healthcare support roles, youth work, mentoring, community services, classroom support, or even personal experience supporting someone with additional needs. Above all, we are looking for people who bring compassion, patience, resilience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.
