4myschools are seeking an experienced SEND teacher for a short-term cover role supporting a small group of Year 3 pupils with special educational needs. This is a six-week assignment covering a staff absence. You will work with three children who present with complex needs, including engagement refusal, emotional regulation challenges, and behaviours that can include aggression. The pupils benefit from yoga and play therapy, and these small group sessions are being offered to tailor the learning activities to meet the children’s needs. As the teacher your focus will be on delivering pre-planned activities such as social stories, maintaining a structured routine of work and reward, and supporting emotional development. You will be working alongside a dedicated TA/LSA.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS) with strong SEND experience, ideally with knowledge of behaviour management strategies, therapeutic approaches, and engagement techniques. You will need to be calm, resilient, and adaptable. This role is for five mornings per week, starting ASAP until the end of the Autumn term. We offer a competitive daily rate and the opportunity to make a real difference during a critical period for these pupils..
