Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity? 4myschools is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an SEN Teacher for a Special Resource Base (SRB) Unit based near Dereham. This position offers a unique and fulfilling teaching experience, allowing you to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
-Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of students within the SRB Unit.
-Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
-Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
-Collaborate with the school’s SENCo, support staff, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and provision of support.
-Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track students’ progress, providing regular feedback and assessment reports to parents and relevant stakeholders.
-Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a collaborative approach to learning and inclusion.
-Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your own knowledge and teaching practice.
Requirements:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a recognized teaching qualification.
-Experience teaching children with special educational needs, preferably within an SRB or similar setting.
-In-depth knowledge of relevant SEN strategies, interventions, and best practices.
-Ability to differentiate and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
-Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver effective lessons and manage student progress effectively.
-Resilience, patience, and a nurturing approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
