Want to work as a SEND Teacher in Much Hadam?

This is a SEN School job.

This is a specialist provision supporting learners with complex needs. Located in a beautiful rural area, the site requires candidates to have access to their own transport. The setting is in the process of establishing a new sixth form and is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to lead a class of 16–18-year-olds. The classroom will be well-supported with Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) and care workers, as many pupils have epilepsy and require additional care. The curriculum is focused heavily on life skills and real-world learning, with regular assessments and clear pathways toward adulthood outcomes. Pupils participate in practical assignments, including vocational opportunities such as working in the two on-site charity shops.

Currently, the provision supports 28 learners in a fully refurbished, purpose-built facility, with capacity to grow to 50 pupils by January. This expansion presents a strong potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity. Staff enjoy an excellent work-life balance—there are no additional hours or marking required. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday during usual school times. Due to the specific needs of the students, a one-week on-site induction may be provided to support a smooth transition into the role.
