🌟 SEND Teaching Assistant (Experienced) – Cluster of Specialist Units – Thurrock 🌟
£90 – £130 Per Day | Temp to Perm Opportunity
Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of young people? We’re recruiting on behalf of a trusted cluster of schools in Thurrock that specialise in supporting pupils with diverse and complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Challenging Behaviour
- Mental Health needs
This is a unique opportunity to work across a group of specialised units, each with its own tailored focus, giving you the chance to broaden your skills and experience across a range of SEND settings.
🔍 The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs
- Support class teachers in delivering tailored learning plans
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and behaviour support strategies
- Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and families
✅ Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience supporting pupils with SEND
- Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Experience in de-escalation and behaviour support strategies
- Resilient, patient, and passionate about inclusive education
- Team Teach or similar behaviour training (desirable)
