The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and patient SEND LSA to provide essential 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs. You will work collaboratively with the school’s SENCO, teachers, and support staff to create a positive learning environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and included.
- Assist in planning and delivering personalised learning strategies to meet individual needs.
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development, building their confidence and resilience.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor and report on progress.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies and foster a nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH or additional learning needs.
- A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
