Salary: £75-£85 per day
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team. We are working with a range of excellent SEN and mainstream schools the Felixstowe area and we are currently seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a day to day or long-term supply basis.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance in their learning activities.
- Assist in the development of appropriate learning materials and resources to support students’ educational goals.
- Monitor and record students’ progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
- Help to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages the social and emotional development of students.
- Support students with personal care and physical needs as required.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to implement specialised interventions.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, particularly with children with special educational needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of various special educational needs, learning difficulties, and disabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
- An enhanced DBS for child workforce on the update service or willing to apply for one
